Lifeline Inmate Services

Compassionate support for inmates and families.

about page 1

The Problem

The Moment of Arrest Is a Logistical Catastrophe

When someone is booked, the clock starts running on every obligation in their life — and they cannot act on any of it from a jail phone.

48 HRS

Landlords post notices. Tow companies mark vehicles. Employers start calling — then stop.

2 WEEKS

Eviction proceedings begin. Utilities shut off. Pets left without care.

30 DAYS

Car totaled by repossession or impound fees. Benefits flagged for termination.

60 DAYS

Credit destroyed. Job lost. Housing history broken. Years of damage from weeks of absence.

Families try to help but lack authority, account numbers, and bandwidth. The cascade compounds into the biggest predictor of reoffence: coming home to nothing

About Lifeline Inmate Services

At Lifeline Inmate Services, we understand that incarceration doesn’t pause one’s life, needs, responsibilities, and financial obligations. That is why we provide a compassionate lifeline to those who find themselves behind bars. Who We Are

Founded in San Diego, CA, Lifeline Inmate Services is a professional administrative and advocacy services company dedicated to standing in the gap for incarcerated individuals throughout California. We are not a law firm, and we do not provide legal advice. Instead, we support inmates by helping them manage essential responsibilities on the outside, such as banking, government benefits, document processing, and service coordination. By doing so, we hope to relieve you and your family from stress, enabling you to focus on what matters most.

What We Do

When the system feels overwhelming, and the walls feel close, Lifeline Inmate Services is your lifeline. Our primary mission is to offer reliable, confidential, and compassionate representation from a team that has walked through the fire and come out the other side. With their lived experience, professional credentials, and community partnerships, we can serve our clients with both heart and expertise.

Compassionate Inmate Advocacy and Support Services

Life does not stop during incarceration. At Lifeline Inmate Services, we provide a wide range of personal administrative and advocacy services tailored to incarcerated individuals navigating the challenges of temporary confinement. Whether you need someone to access your bank account, coordinate your government benefits, manage crucial correspondence, help you prepare for reentry into the community, or set up a structured plan for your financial stability during your incarceration, our team can act as your legally designated representative through a Limited Power of Attorney.

The Lifeline Inmate Services Difference

Our personal administrative and advocacy services are not one-size-fits-all. Every client receives a personalized, itemized contract tailored to their specific situation, needs, and goals. We then provide the professional support services that an incarcerated individual needs to protect what they’ve built and plan for the future they deserve — even during the toughest chapter of their life. Our team will move with urgency, operate with integrity, and communicate with complete transparency at every step.

This Work Is Personal. The Mission Is Lifelong.

About Robert Forte, Our Founder and
Your Trusted Lifeline

Robert Forte is the visionary founder of Lifeline Inmate Services. More than that, he is living proof that the most powerful advocates are the ones who have walked the road they are paving for others. As the CEO of both Lifeline Inmate Services and Peer Professionals of California, Robert brings over two decades of experience navigating the intersection of criminal justice, public health, and community transformation. His work is driven by lived experiences, relentless commitment, and a steadfast belief that every person deserves a second chapter written on their own terms.

A Story Forged Through Adversity

Robert’s journey was not a straight line. Growing up amidst addiction, trauma, and a dysfunctional family environment, he encountered firsthand the systemic forces that push individuals toward incarceration and away from opportunity. Rather than letting these circumstances define him, Robert used them as a lens to gain an unparalleled understanding and empathy for the communities he works alongside and serves. His personal experiences shape his professional purpose: to be the unwavering advocate he once needed and never had during his own toughest times.
